Color Guard

The Naval ROTC Color Guard team honors the Navy and Marine Corps Colors and the National Ensign.  The team represents all the selfless Sailors and Marines who have served and are serving our nation and the distinguished traditions of both services. Throughout the fall and spring semesters, the Color Guard honors the Colors at Badger football and basketball games and at the annual Navy/Marine Corps Birthday and Spring Ball.  The team also competes against other Naval ROTC Battalions from around the country at UW-Madison's own NROTC Fall Invite and at invites hosted hosted by other universities.

In recent years the team has competed against rival universities including the University of Minnesota, Ohio State, and Colorado at the Fall Invite and at competitions in the spring.  During the spring semester 2014, the UW-Madison Color Guard team traveled to Boulder, CO to compete.

The team routinely performs for non-military events in Madison, and would be proud to perform for any non-political events if requested.  The team is a valuable asset for training future naval officers, as it provides leadership opportunities, instills discipline, and gives midshipmen the opportunity to represent the Naval Services and the Badger Battalion to the Madison community.

To request the Color Guard for an event, please contact the Assistant Marine Officer Instructor (AMOI).
